KS2 Quick Sticks Hockey CPD

KS2 Gymnastics INSET

Additional Services Booking Form

Location / Venue: For delivery within individual schools

Member schools of Forge School Sport Partnership are entitled to access additional services as outlined on the Additional Services Booking Form (downloadable below).  Access to any of these services will incur a cost and schools will be asked to commit to payment beforehand to secure their request. 

Schools wishing to purchase any of these services should complete the 'Service Request Form’ at least FOUR weeks prior to the dates the service is required and send it to Karen Leaver (Specialism Development Manager) at the address stated.

A member of the School Sport Partnership staff will then contact the school directly to confirm the exact details of the request before it is processed.

BISI Badmtinton Secondary Teachers Course

As part of our CPD programme for the Forge SSP I am delighted to offer your school the opportunity to send two members of staff to attend the BISI Badminton Secondary Teachers course for FREE. Any extra members of staff will be charged a fee of £70 each.

 

The aim of this course is to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to organise and deliver BISI Badminton activities within your school.  All staff who attend will receive a copy of the BISI resource pack.

SGO - Coaching, Officiating and Team Manager Tutor Training

Course Content

 

The workshop is designed to help young people transition from leadership that they may have undertaken at school in the curriculum or within the community into meaningful deployment. At the end of the workshop the young people should be able to make an informed decision on which sporting role they wish to progress into to build on their existing leadership skills and experiences to support the delivery of the school games at level 1 and 2.

 

The purpose of the workshop is to help young people to:

 

·         Understand the range of volunteering opportunities in sport

·         Understand the tasks that each role needs to do pre, during and post competition

·         Consider the task, skills and values required to undertake a coach, official or team manager role

·         Self review where their skills and interest lie

·         Agree their next steps of their volunteering journey

  • Understandwhat team managers do and who they work with
  • Understand what team managers do pre-during-post competition
  • Self review and decide on the areas they need to review
  • Be clear about their next steps

Forge SSP Leadership Academy - Coach, Officiating and Team Manager Training

KS3 Learning Leaders (Secondary Teachers)

What are Learning Leaders?

 

Learning Leaders supports all young people aged 11-14 to enhance their own and others’ learning through developing and applying leadership skills. It has been designed by the Youth Sport Trust to support physical education (PE) and school sport and can also be applied within cross-curricular and wider school and community contexts.

aers        Ûa teacher’s handbook          Ûa set of The Learning Leaders workshop aims to support secondary PE teachers to develop their students’ thinking and learning through leadership. It is a three-hour module, delivered locally by Youth Sport Trust national trainers, and enables teachers (and learning support assistants where appropriate) to explore ideas and share strategies that will lead to improved outcomes for young people.
